To the construction history

The instrument, originally as baroque sounds built, was altered later to a Chitarra battente. In this state it is topically in the museum. With this rebuilding the original baroque bridge was removed and a guitar bridge was put on. The strings are fastened to the body underside with Pins. In addition, the barring layout has been changed (with exception of the two upper bars near the neck). The topical barrigs are stronger and are the same like guitars commonly, standing grains. Two treble bars are below the bridge. Both original upper bars still own for lutes and baroque guitars to usual grain in parallel to the belly.

My concern was to build the instrument again in his original state as a baroque guitar. On the basis of endoscopic inspections the old barring layout could be determined about glue tracks. The comparison with X-ray pictures of instruments from the same time period and the same teritorialen origin area the information delivered for the construction. Furthermore a baroque bridge typical for these instruments was made.
